Our AP Calculus BC course, a comprehensive program designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in in college-level calculus. This two-part series covers the entire AP precalculus AB and BC curriculum, allowing students to take the AP exam and earn college credit while still in high school.
In this course of precalculus, students will learn the basic tools of calculus and develop a deeper understanding of how and why they work. By the end of the program, students will have a solid foundation in calculus and be able to solve real-world problems using their newfound knowledge.
The precalculus calculator is completed over 24 weeks, with three sessions per week. Students will learn to compute limits, differentiate functions, and analyze various functions using differentiation rules, including the combination and chain rules. They will also learn to approximate area under curves using numerical methods and calculate exact area using integration techniques such as u-substitution, integration by parts, trig substitution, and partial fractions.
Additionally, students will become familiar with sequences and series convergence tests, work with parametric equations, polar coordinates and functions, and vector quantities. They will also learn to calculate dot and cross products and solve problems using separable differential equations
